Luhan Si Hadin is a Sacramento, USA-based acoustic folk artist who has just come to my attention thanks to their collaboration with Sacramento locals Nelz the Moon, NineFingers and Who Is Estoria. One for your “sad girl autumn”, it’s called Raindrops.
By Graeme Smith
Raindrops makes the point that in order to be friends with benefits, you have to be friends. It’s beautifully articulated through an unconventional acoustic arrangement and plenty of vocal layers. There’s plenty of space for Luhan’s poetic lyrics and the best is saved for last. A defiant finish will linger with you.
There’s no-one out there like Luhan and I certainly look forward to discovering more of their music.
Production for Raindrops comes from Midnight Merc. You can give it a listen below.
