Angus Bruce, aka GOOSTAVO, first featured on this blog in the Spring with his open and frank track RUNAWAY. There’s just enough time left this year to feature another one of his. A reflective and emotional one, it’s called DON’T FORGET ME.
By Graeme Smith
GOOSTAVO wrote DON’T FORGET ME during a time of personal change. He was just about to finish his degree and relocate from Southampton to London. Therapy was also helping him to discover a lot about himself. The track is his effort to process it all and its lyrics hit hard. They are delivered by soulful vocals against a rich, experimental bed of lo-fi instrumentals that will have you feeling along with every note.
Featuring on the track alongside Angus are housemates Dan on trombone and trumpet and Kay who provides the spoken word voicemail. DON’T FORGET ME is the closing track of GOOSTAVO’s upcoming debut EP AKA GOOSTAVO, set for release in February next year. You can check out the single below.
