Blackpool-based rock band Rendered first burst onto my radar last month thanks to their football-inspired anthem Keep the Dream Alive. Now they’re back on these pages thanks to their latest track that shows a different side of their sound. It’s called Squash Market.
By Graeme Smith
Squash Market is a track that suggests modern day malaise while at the same time being rousing and defiant. Expressive and soulful vocals float over some heavy, relentless riffs in the verse before we arrive at an all-encompassing indie rock chorus that leaves it all out there.
Rendered are Dale Ball on vocals, guitar and song writing, and Christopher Phelan and guitar and song writing. Squash Market was recorded at Brew Room, Blackpool by Dec Naylor and Tyler Larkin. It was co-produced by Rendered.
You can give the track a listen below.
