Koalra are a Portland, Oregon, USA-based band who first appeared on this blog as part of Jane’s In Your Dreams – Shoegaze round up last month. Now it’s my turn to run the rule over some of their music courtesy of their new track and video. It’s called Something Fails.

Opening slow and brooding, Something Fails is a track that gradually but surely draws you in. Paired with the dystopian visuals of its video, both hit a steady groovy that will have you nodding along while getting lost in its sense of melancholy. It truly is something a little special and an early contender for track of the year for me.
