Miles & The Chain Gang are a local rock band fronted by Miles Salter, a musician, poet and York Calling contributor. Just in time for Valentine’s day, they’ve re-released their track Love Is Blind.

Love Is Blind is a characteristically cynical take on love, exploring how it can make fools of those who feel it, particularly men. Of course, with Miles involved, there’s a fair amount of humour too, and the track is a vibrant and upbeat one that honours a classic rock sound. It’s a must-listen for fans of Elvis Costello, Blondie or The Pretenders.

2023 was a big year for Miles & The Chain Gang, with their single Charlie garnering international attention. I have no doubt 2024 will be even bigger for them.
