London-based electronic pop artist Serena first featured on this blog in 2021 when she caught my attention with her track Ophelia. Since then, we’ve been keeping a close eye on her music, sharing her EP Welcome To Wasteland and a couple more of her singles.

In fact, we’ve even shared her track Lipstick on a glass before, and its new version meant the track was well worth another visit. For it, Serena has teamed up with producer Cholly, and in doing so creates a beautiful meta-narrative of female creatives supporting each other in a male dominated industry.
The new version doesn’t lose any of the punchiness or sensuality of the original while stripping down and rebuilding its composition. It’s the perfect listen for anyone hoping to get lost in anything but love songs this Valentine’s Day.
It’s so great to have Serena back on the blog, and to introduce Cholly to our readers. You can check out their collaboration below.
