New Music: Serena Clara – What To Do (remember love)

The post-Christmas malaise is now behind us as we look forward to Spring and the potential for new love. York Calling favourite Serena Clara’s take on Valentine’s Day is a little unconventional, though, focussing on self-love. It’s called What To Do (remember love).

By Graeme Smith

We’ve been following Serena’s music since 2022, discovering her through her EP release The Spiral. She never fails to delight us with her unique approach to music and her latest single might be her most striking yet. Starting slow and pensive, its piano melody blends with cello and electronica to create a heightened sense of emotion. Once Serena’s crystalline vocals come in, you are completely hooked.

The string arrangement on What To Do comes from Maddie Ashman, and there are backing vocals by Jury. The single is out now and you can check it out below.
