Wïlderman is the performing name of Bobby Anderson, a Bristol-based artist who has just come to my attention through the release of his latest track and video.
By Graeme Smith
Bobby has music in his blood. His mother is Carleen Anderson, singer and composer of Young Disciples, and his grandfather Bobby Byrd was the right-hand man of James Brown. He has fifteen years of experience on the Bristol live scene too, so it’s no surprise that his new track 8 Feet is such a well written and produced one.
The track is raw and jangly indie rock at its best. A compulsive riff opens things up before Bobby’s expressive and charismatic vocals come in. The track canters along, urging you to move to its rhythm, before we reach a memorable chorus. It’s all over in two minutes but will stick with you a lot longer.
8 Feet is out now via Donut Records. You can check out its video below.
