It was this time last week that I shared Birds are better’s rendition of The Flaming Lips’ Do You Realize?? and now the project led by Norway’s Stian Fjelldal is back with a new one.

In The Corner Of The Song sees Stian return to his own song writing with the first single taken from his upcoming third album. Self-described as his “most folky song yet” there is an air of the rustic about. Gentle acoustic guitar support soulful vocals that deliver contemplative and poetic lyrics.

Stian is planning an autumn release for his third album, the follow up to The Island – Part One and The Island – Part Two. I, for one, can’t wait to hear it, having been following Birds are better for a couple of years now.
