Eden Dawn is a Plymouth-based music producer who has just come to my attention thanks to her latest single release. A relatable love song, it’s called More Than This.

Eden wrote More Than This a couple of years ago, inspired by her life with her partner who was able to make the drudgery of a mundane winter feel like fun. Putting it aside, she eventually revisited it as part of her work at university and has released it to the public today.

The sense of the personal is powerful in the track. Eden performs solo, and does the mixing, mastering and producing herself, so we get to know a lot about her with More Than This. It has a rich yet delicate composition, with dreamy overtones supported by melancholic undertones. Eden’s ethereal vocals are the focus – they’re gentle but utterly arresting.

I’m looking forward to getting to know more about Eden. She has an irresistible and unconventional sound that demands attention.
