Tom Elliot is a Manchester-based singer songwriter who first came to our attention as part of Jane’s Underground Punk round up in January.

Now it’s my turn to share some of his music courtesy of his latest single Holy Ghost. It’s a track about the guilt that comes from being away from a friend who is struggling. There’s a rawness to its composition that really brings the emotion of the story to life, as do Tom’s soulful and characterful vocals. They float lightly over a rock arrangement that goes hard with some jagged riffs and expansive moments. Its memorable chorus is rich with narrative and will have you shaking off whatever burdens you.
Holy Ghost is the second single from Tom’s debut EP Dead Flower Radio Hour, set for release soon. It was self-produced by him in his Salford bedroom. You can give it a listen below.
