New England, USA-born singer, songwriter and producer Matt McKnzi first came to our attention near the end of last year with his tracks Atlas, City People and Ghost.

His latest Moon picks up very much where he left off, giving us some vibrant and atmospheric indie pop. It’s a track that opens stripped-back before growing with some subtly groovy percussion and bass. The star of the show, as always, is Matt’s expressive and soulful vocals. They hit some nicely soaring moments as the laidback arrangement gives us just enough emotional ups and downs.

Moon will feature on Matt’s upcoming second album Ghost Stories, set for release in May. Based on this evidence, it’s going to a hell of a record. You can give the single a listen below.
