Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys is a Berlin, Germany-based act that has just hit my radar through the release of their latest single, Rooms.

Rooms was written in coronavirus lockdown in Lucy’s bedroom and reflects the surreal intimacy created by our socially-distanced lives of the time. Uniquely composed of a string of remote collaborations, with friends trapped in place around the world, it meditates on the subject of home through a raw, immediate performance with plenty of distorted layers. As it progresses, its arrangement grows, finally arriving at a twinkling, understated crescendo.
The single is a title track from the band’s upcoming album, which follows on from last year’s release Heaving. The album Rooms is set for release in May through Unique Records in Europe and Metropolis in the USA. You can give the single a listen below.
