Melbourne, Australia-based songwriter, composer and vocalist Genevieve Sovereign has been featuring on these pages since the beginning of last year when she was included in Jane’s Monthly Favourites round up with her track Vibration Angle.

I’ve shared her music too, in October through her single Midday Blue, and I’m pleased to have her back with a new one. Random Number is the lead track of her upcoming album STARSEEDS WANTED: enquire within and gives us electronic genre-mashing, being at once catchy pop and surreal experimentation. Lyrically, it explores the ideas of choice and fortune with a sense of playful whimsy. It’s yet more evidence of what a unique artist Genevieve truly is.
