Los Angeles, USA-based experimental pop artist KC Star has been featuring on this blog since 2022 when he came to our attention through his EP BOYS SUCK! Jane was so taken with his sound, she even interviewed him.

Last year, I got to run the rule over his music courtesy of EP THE MIXTAPE (VOL. 1). Now I’m pleased to welcome him back on these pages with a new single. Lonely love song is the lead track from KC Star’s upcoming eighth EP love songs about no one and shows us a different side of his sound. A stripped-back ballad, we get plenty of vulnerability and emotion from the vocals. They’re backed by a vibrant pop instrumental that nicely builds to a big finish.

KC Star really does have all he needs to be huge – a beautiful voice, astute song writing and an impressive following across the socials. Keep an eye on the name.
