British singer-songwriter Alex Rv Phillips has had quite an interesting musical career already, and he’s surely headed for big things if Everything is anything to go by!

In terms of genre, Everything is a folky song, but it’s got more of a stripped-down, melancholic folk-pop sound than anything more traditional. It starts fairly quietly, seeing Alex sing along quietly against the pretty acoustic guitar and piano melodies. However, the chorus transforms the entire tune, making it all sound incredibly anthemic, as Alex’s vocals rise up with a great deal of power and energy. I love the way he uses to the everchanging dynamics to keep your interest focused on the track!
