British artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer Liz Lawrence first came to my attention when I saw her play live at The Crescent here in York in support of The Big Moon last year.

More recently, I shared her track and video Big Machine and she’s now released its follow up. Strut picks up where Big Machine left off, showing a more expansive side of Liz’s sound while brimming with subversive, storytelling lyrics. The song celebrates going ‘out-out’ and the joy of social connection.

Liz’s new album Peanuts is set for release on 7 June via Chrysalis Records, and she’ll be on tour throughout May, June and July to celebrate it. Local dates include an in-store show at Jumbo Records in Leeds on 11 June, and an appearance at Deer Shed Festival on 26 July. She’ll also be coming to the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on 17 November. Gig tickets are available here, and in-store tickets here.
