New York, USA-based dream pop artist Alexia Vegas has featured on this blog a few times before, going back to around this time last year when she first hit our radar through her single Your Love is Like a Slow Disease.

Her new track At First is the latest release from her upcoming debut album Clear Blue Sky. It’s a story that explores the early stages of a new romance. The pair fall hard for each other but, as if often the case, the passion doesn’t last. Alexia articulates it beautifully through a moody pop arrangement and her soaring, charismatic vocals. There’s a purity to it all, even as she delivers a cynical edge in the lyrics.

It’s another impressive effort from an artist whose career is going from strength to strength. I think we’re going to see and hear a lot more from her in the coming years.
