London-based singer songwriter Charlotte Lansman has featured once before on this blog. In September last year, she hit our radar thanks to her joyful track Stupid Love.

Her new track My Mind strikes a somewhat more introspective tone, and explores themes of anxiety and self-doubt. There are elements to its composition that feel both experimental and familiar. Traditional soul and jazz mix easily with something a little more modern, and it’s all woven together beautifully by Charlotte’s easy to love vocals. Despite its deep lyrical themes, it still cuts a bright and affirming tone, in a way that no-one but Charlotte does.
If you happen to be in London on 2 May, Charlotte will be playing at The Old Queens Head in Islington then.
My Mind will feature on her upcoming EP So Long. You can check it out below.
