Abergele, Wales-based singer songwriter Mared is an artist who has just hit my radar thanks to her latest track, lately.

Mared splits her time between her rural Welsh hometown and London, bring a little bit of both to her music. She’s good at combining things, and her new track lately is a blend of genres. At once we get acoustic folk and soulful pop, all tied together by her beautiful vocals and a unique sense of composition. Shining through it all are introspective and reflective lyrics that speak of conflicted love.

Lately is the second single to be taken from Mared’s upcoming bi-lingual EP better late than never, set for release 10 May. It was produced by Nate Williams and you can give it a listen below.
