Mia Ludlow is a London-based artist who has just come to my attention thanks to her latest single, babyteeth.

Though now based here in the UK, Mia grew up in Brisbane, Australia. She’s been writing songs since the age of fifteen, teaching herself guitar following a background in the flute. From there, she’s expanded into producing as well.

All that talent is on display in her latest track. Babyteeth explores the story of not being able to let go of a toxic relationship, heightening the drama through use of imagery and metaphor in the lyrics. Mia accompanies her delicate and compelling vocals with some expressively played acoustic guitar while echoing vocals add to the melancholy of it all.
