Albuquerque, USA-based progressive metal singer-songwriter Blind Man’s Daughter has made a couple of appearances on this blog, going back to last summer. Now she’s back with a new single that touches on the hot topic of climate change.

Blind Man’s Daughter is the musical project of Ashley Wolfe, a multi-talented artist who performs all the instruments on her latest single, Innocent. She also recorded it in her own studio with support from producer Bobby Balow.

Innocent is a song that’s difficult to define genre-wise. Though there are elements of the melodic rock we know and love from Ashley, we also get elements of pop in an emotional arrangement that feels as weighty as its subject matter. Expressive vocals are the focal point, delivering their message with passion, especially during a dramatic climax.
