Oxford-based dark pop artist Frannie B has been featuring on this blog since 2022. In that time, we’ve shared one of her singles, her EP Wonderland, and even posed her some questions in a Q&A.

Now she’s back with a new track called game over, a dance pop song about anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. It proves to be a deadly combination, giving us plenty of substance with its lyrics while setting them against a lively instrumental that encourages us to shake it all off.
It starts moody before finding an emotional, electronic groove. Frannie’s vocals are, as always, the star of the show, and she’s ably supported by the Oxford Youth Choir (in which she used to sing), which features singers from the age of eight to eighteen.
Game over shows us just why Frannie is getting the attention she is in the pop world. It could well be her breakthrough record. The track was produced by Mason Blu and you can give it a listen below.
