Atmospheric singer songwriter SYML returns with an introspective new single Oblivion

Seattle, USA-based singer songwriter SYML, real name Brian Fennell, has been delighting fans across the world with his music, ourselves included.

By Graeme Smith

His attention to detail in building atmosphere and genuine emotion into his tracks has made him an influence for many artists, and he’s always pushing to try something different with his music. His latest Oblivion draws on spaghetti western influences, particularly Ennio Morricone, to create a delicate, poetic number that evokes an ever expanding landscape both outside and inside the soul. An explosive chorus contrasts the stripped-back verses powerfully. It could just be SYML’s best offering yet.

Oblivion is out now and you can check it out below.
