Having been featuring on our pages since 2022, The Fades are a South London band who never fails to impress. Their new track draws inspiration from one of the world most famous and meme-able actors, Keanu Reeves.

Looking For Keanu is about searching for a friend in a time of need. It draws from a real-life rumour that the actor was filming near The Fades’ rehearsal studio and the band got carried away thinking that, if they’d bumped into him, they’d become fast pals.

It’s a track that’s infused with the ’90s rock of Keanu’s early career. Jangly guitar meets passionate vocals full of longing in a stripped-back first verse before we get a percussive groove and, finally, a grungy chorus that leaves it all out there.
