Tucson-based Annie Anna first featured on this blog earlier this year thanks to her love song Wait. Her latest sees her taking on a very different topic.

Fame explores the pitfalls of chasing notoriety and what it does to a person as an individual and to those around them. It’s based on Annie’s real experience when she lost a friend who chose to prioritise online validation over genuine connections. She brings the story to life through an emotional country pop number that steadily builds to a memorable chorus before Annie really lets loose with some passionate vocals.

The track was recorded partly at Annie’s home and partly in producer Riley J Corbin’s studio in Kansas City. Fame is out now and you can check it out below.
