The title of the track refers to a physical place that’s special to singer Jono Robertson, a place where he had many of his ‘firsts.’ There is a sense of the personal that runs right through the track, which is supported by the nostalgic feel of its instrumental that combines ’80s dance rock and alternative.

It opens with an almost hymn-like melody before steadily growing with pop-rock sensibilities. The vocals are the stand out. They’re beautifully smooth and soulful as they deliver heart-stopping lyrics. After a simmering first verse we arrive at last at an explosive, memorable chorus.

The Ravine EP is out now and you can check out the single below.
