Influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Soundgarden, and Big Thief, Chloe & The Brainwaves are a unique act who I’m pleased to welcome back to our blog with their new single Can’t You Love Us The Same?

Based just up the road in Sunderland, Chloe & The Brainwaves have featured once before on this blog. Around this time last year, I shared their anti-consumer anthem Expensive Things.
Their latest single sees them turn inward with an emotional tale of acceptance and authenticity. In it, Chloe expresses her feelings of never being the favourite through a simmering alternative rock arrangement. Her vocals are haunting, floating over some rousing riffs and driving percussion before things ends big with a cinematic, classic rock climax.
Can’t You Love Us The Same? was written by Chloe Gardner & Michael Potts. It was produced by Steve Grainger, assisted by Oli Porter, and was mastered by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering. It was recorded at Metronome Studios in Nottingham. The track is out now and you can check it out below.
