Written and recorded between Gothenburg and Dublin in 2022 and 2023 in collaboration with Brendan Jenkinson, Suas is Sour Blood‘s first LP, and is introduced beautifully by its title track’s video.

Sour Blood is the musical project of Tipperary, Ireland-born artist Kevin Gleeson who we’re featuring the first time.
His new single Suas is a haunting and unexpected number. Expressive vocals pour over an off-beat, percussive arrangement, delivering lyrics that are rich with melancholia and poetry. There’s a trace back to Radiohead’s more cinematic moments, especially during a powerfully cathartic climax. Those influences are paired nicely with some acoustic singer-songwriter sensibilities. It’s truly quite breath-taking.
The album Suas is set for release 2 August. The single is out now and you can check out its video, filmed on 16mm Kodak film by Gareth and Robyn Byrne, below.
