Laundry is the first single from Ottawa, Canada’s indie pop-rockers Wotts upcoming EP and takes inspiration from contempory acts like Fontaines D.C. and The Horrors.

We’ve been covering Wotts’ music since 2022 and Jane recently interviewed them for us. Yet, Laundry feels like something of a departure for the duo, striking deeper into punk rock than we’re used to from them, all while keeping things nicely dreamy. It’s an intoxicating combination, and the use of rise and fall as the track progresses keeps things textually interesting. All the while, a The Cure-like sense of melancholia runs through the vocals and lyrics.
Wotts’ new EP Good People, Bad People is set for release this summer. Laundry is out now and you can check it out below.
