Waning Crescent is iHop Borders‘ first instrumental single after a career producing for others and shows us his talent and unique flair for composition.

For his sound, iHop Borders draws on nature, video games and whimsy, bringing them together to create a composition that is equal parts familiar lo-fi and defiantly different. There’s such a sense of joy running through it all with playful percussion, a looping groove and characterful melodies. The love of video games comes through the strongest; it could easily be playing in the background of some indie game.

This is a fantastic instrumental debut from iHop Borders. I’ll be keeping a close eye out for what he does next.
