Soul Shaker, the track by singer songwriter Sarah Lake, first appeared on our pages in March this year. Now, it’s had a nu-disco remix courtesy of Ernie Lake.

Ernie Lake is a composer and music producer who first came to music as a drummer in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Soon, he was touring globally, and earned two Grammy nominations, before settling down in Nashville with his now wife, Sarah.

Together, they have created this buoyant new take on her track Soul Shaker. An emotional and lively groove starts things off before Sarah’s striking vocals come in. Things really come to life during a punchy, soaring chorus that has a melody that will firmly plant itself in your head. Could disco-country be the next big trend? On this evidence, I think so.
