The three key members of NEEB – Mark Hand, Mark Lloyd and Tony Waite – have been making music together for twenty years.
For their new single they’ve joined forces with Talk Talk drummer Martin Ditcham after a chance meeting between him and Mark Lloyd in London. The track also features vocals from Jasmine Weatherill. Now a fully-fledged member of NEEB, she has also sung for The Woven Project who debuted on our pages recently.
Together, they create something beautifully ethereal and dreamy. Lively jazz creates a percussive bed onto which light synths and soaring vocals are poured. It’s chill and challenging in equal measure, and the kind of track in which it’s easy to get lost.
Take To The Sky is out now on Shybairn Records, available to buy as a digital track via Bandcamp. You can check it out below.
