Piglets DDeep Forest are a self-styled “science rock” band, combining cosmic storytelling with prog rock compositions.

Consisting of composer Adam ‘Multi’ Paluch and lyricist Monika Paluch-Ferszt, who has obtained a PH. D. from the University of Warsaw, Poland, they first appeared on this blog in December last year thanks to their weird and wonderful album DDeep in Time.

I’ll Keep You Warm was the seventh track on the album and I decided to revisit it. It tells the story of ‘Little Energy Quark’ on a journey from the nuclear reactor to home. It’s is a beautifully atmospheric track. Delicate psychedelia combines with hard rock riffs to create something wonderfully undefinable as it takes its time unfolding over seven and a half minutes.
