British singer songwriter aimate explores relationship neglect with new single comfortable.
By Graeme Smith
A singer-songwriter originally from Portsmouth and is now based in Folkstone, Kent, aimate is appearing on our blog for the first time through her new single, comfortable. Anxiety and fear has held her back from releasing a lot of music, but it hasn’t stopped her playing with some of the greats, including Sleeper.
New single comfortable is an R&B track that explores the stage of a relationship when things move from comfort to neglect. It opens moody and introspective while aimate’s soulful vocals are the highlight, delivering relatable and emotional lyrics in the verse before things become pleading in the chorus. As the track progresses, it builds, and arrives at a climax that leaves it all out there.
Comfortable was produced and recorded by Anny at Platoon in Tileyard. It’s out now and you can check it out below.
