Regular readers will know the name Frank Joshua by now. The prolific experimental pop artist has been appearing frequently on our pages since 2022.
By Graeme Smith
With his latest, Seedy Grammar, Frank combines a nostalgic and timeless pop sound with his own fresh take on the genre. The result is irresistible. Vibrant electronica sets the early tone, bringing with it a sense of bittersweetness, before charismatic vocals come in. Frank keeps the meaning of his songs close to his chest, but there’s a sense of an anti-hero in its triumphant, cinematic composition.
For his music, Frank teams up with producer Tony White, a man he found through the yellow pages.
Seedy Grammar is out now and you can check out its gritty video below.
