Indie folk artist Victoria Staff first featured on our blog in March this year when Jane ran the rule over her thought-provoking tale of a dying relationship, From My Side. Now it’s my turn to share some of her music.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Victoria’s love for music grew as a way of coping with her childhood anxiety. She has a cerebral style which is beautifully demonstrated by her latest track, Better. The emotion of its intimate tale is brought to life through her vulnerable vocals and the visceral detail of her lyrics. She really doesn’t hold back her frustration, and it makes the track all the more powerful for it.

Victoria is quickly finding a place for herself among our favourites here on this blog. The raw honesty of her music makes it difficult to ignore.
