Cat combines classical vocal training with influences from astute modern artist like Arlo Parks, Mazzy Star or Mallrat to create beautifully dream folk pop that’s full of narrative. With Manic Pixie we get vibrant poetry in its lyrics, a slow-burning soft rock instrumental, and oodles of charm. It’s simply flawless, and definitely urges me to find out more about her music.
