Hailing from Sheffield, SWAN are the latest Yorkshire indie rock band to grace these pages, all thanks to their turbulent new single, The Fall.

Consisting of Joe Duckworth, Harry Allen, Oliver Thorpe, Matt Shenton, and Rob Collins, SWAN formed in 2020. Thanks to COVID, they didn’t get to play their first show until the following year. Driven by a mutual love of the likes of Kasabian, Oasis and Royal Blood, they create lively indie rock in the same vein.
The Fall is the first single taken from their upcoming debut EP, The House Is On Fire and wastes no times stretching its dark rock muscles. Fuzzy riffs set the early tone before pleading vocals come in. There’s an edge of cynicism in its lyrics, but also a certain reluctant hope, creating quite the emotional mosaic.
The single is out now and you can give it a listen below.
