Sometimes it takes a true outsider to create something original in the world of music. Eva came to the artform late, learning how to play and perform six years ago. The result is the striking, experimental Feel The Sun, a song that takes plenty of unexpected twists and turns through genre, but is always tethered by her expressive vocals. Lyrically, it speaks of her experiences with depression, and a struggle to identify what she needs.
The track is the second single from Eva’s upcoming EP Empty Hands, set for release 16 October 2024. For the EP, she worked with London-based producer Sam Hatchwell (aka hoyah), drummer Clinton Agu, saxophonist Marius Dick, and violinist Roland Satterwhite.
Feel The Sun is out now and you can give it a listen below.
