Love songs aren’t all new romance and heartbreak. Sometimes, it’s nice to celebrate the kind of familiar love that only comes from a long-term relationship. That’s the topic Jitensha‘s new track Sweet Talk.

Jitensha is the Canada-based pairing of David Martinez and Rosey Hubbard. They’ve graced these pages before, capturing our attention through their soulful single Run So Fast over the summer.

Their new love song is sweet without being saccharine. With an indie pop edge in the instrumental, we get soaring harmonies, relatable storytelling and a warm, well-trodden groove. I’ve mentioned before about David and Rosey’s obvious chemistry, and we get more evidence of it here. Sweet Talk is the perfect soundtrack for cuddling up with a loved one.
