David Moore and The Fachans shine a light on Glasgow’s homeless with new single

Paying tribute to the often overlooked and ignored homeless community of Glasgow, Hunger Pangs is the new single from David Moore and The Fachans.

By Graeme Smith

David Moore and his band’s music is very much of the city in which they live. They do things differently north of the border, and in Glasgow in particular, and their music captures the pathos, wit and artistry of the city.

Their new single doesn’t take an overly-sanitised look at things, however, delving into our society’s unspoken shame – homelessness. We get a contemplative folk rock intro and vocals that are rich with Glaswegian twang. Poetic lyrics bring the track’s story to life powerfully before a lingering, guitar-led chorus hits.

Hunger Pangs was recorded at Fuzzface Studios. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
