Australia’s LAB RAT brings his brand of alt-rock grunge rap to the UK for the first time with new single, Exit Path.

Though now based Down Under, Dylan James, the man behind LAB RAT, is British-born.

His new single, Exit Path, grapples with difficult themes including childhood trauma, depression, and dealing with it all as an adult in destructive ways. It certainly feels relatable, and Dylan emotes it all powerfully through his unique, genre-bending style that combines elements of rap, emo and hard rock.

Dylan found his salvation in music, and I’m thankful to him for sharing his story and art. If you like artists such as Yungblud and Slowthai, then you’re going to want to check out LAB RAT.
