Solomon’s Seal is a new name to this blog, but the man behind it is an old favourite. His new single is called Circles.

We first featured the music of Joseph Giffaud Tutt as part of the band The White Russian, sharing two of their singles and an EP between 2021 and 2023. Circles is his new single under the moniker Solomon’s Seal.

It’s a track that has all the poetry that we’ve come to expect from his work, backed by a gentle acoustic arrangement and delivered as always through delicate, expressive vocals. Its composition reflects the concept of its title and we get plenty of reverb courtesy of the fact that is was recorded in a church.

Joseph takes his cues from the likes of Joanna Newsom, Joni Mitchell, and Paul Simon, but there really is no-one else out there like him. Circles is a wonder. You can give it a listen below.
