Newly formed Yorkshire power trio We Have Ghosts catch the attention with debut single, Amygdala Algorithm.

Consisting of Benjamin Mace-Crossley on guitars and vocals, David Snowley on percussion, and Matthew Snowley on bass, We Have Ghosts are the latest rock band to emerge from the our green and leafy county. Yet, they’re not entirely new to us. Both Ben and Dave were previously part of the Leeds punk band The Würmen whose EP I reviewed last year.

Their debut single is a statement of intent, diving headfirst into things with lively riffs and passionate vocals. Lyrically, it explores mental health issues, particularly songwriter Ben’s struggles with ADHD, social anxiety and substance abuse. There’s a suitable feeling of chaos running through its pacy two and half minutes.
