Daffodildos serve us another cup of their irreverent, offbeat punk – debut EP Not My Cup of Tea.
By Graeme Smith
It’s the third time the Brighton based queer-punk band have featured on this blog, following our shares of their vegan anthem What’s Your Excuse? and raw and honest single Never Enough.
Not My Cup of Tea features both singles plus four other raucous tracks that show us the full range of what Daffodildos have to offer. That includes serious protest anthems such as No Pride and lighter bits of fun like Ba Ba Ba Da. Inspired by the raw punk of The Damned and X-Ray Spex, the band bring the sound right up to date, reflecting the splintered world in which we now inhabit.
The EP is out now on Not Saints, the UK’s only record label supporting artists in recovery from addiction. It’s available to buy as a digital album on Bandcamp and you can give it a listen below.
