Disney+ and Hulu-featured artist NYRE returns to our pages with alt-pop heartbreak anthem, It Should Be You.

The Canadian artist’s music has featured on these pages three times before, with previous shares of her single and video Glitter With a Vengeance and track You Didn’t Mean It.

Her latest is one that tempers the emotion of love loss with a bright and bouncy instrumental. Its lyrics are full of intimate storytelling and its chorus is rich with catharsis as the weight of the breakup becomes too much. It’s yet more evidence of NYRE’s pop chops. She’s got a fantastic ability to write and deliver a catchy, emotional tune.
