Dude Safari return with self-affirming anthem

Surrey’s Dude Safari return to York Calling with powerful and triumphant track, Love Me Like You Want Me.

By Graeme Smith

Dude Safari are a Surrey-based grunge pop band. They’ve featured on our blog a few times with an album review, an inclusion in Jane’s Grunge Forever round up, and even an interview with them gracing these pages.

Their new single Love Me Like You Want Me is, in songwriter Jamie Tipson’s own words, about “self-belief, self-esteem and self-worth.”

The track kicks off in powerful and triumphant fashion with some big riffs and lively drums. Expressive vocals bring plenty of emotion during an introspective verse before all self-doubt is thrown away during an affirming, soaring chorus. A gigantic guitar solo is the icing on the cake.

Love Me Like You Want Me is out now via Dude Safari’s own label, Pretty Thing Records. You can give it a listen below.
