Pet Snake is the project of Clean Cut Kid’s Evelyn Halls. We’ve been fans of her for awhile, and have been sharing her recently released “easy” versions of her tracks which see her strip them back to the essentials for a raw and intimate sound.

Trust Issues is the latest to get this treatment. About the realisation that we are masking our true self from time to time, and the kinship when finding someone else doing the same thing, it’s a bright number with a memorable melody in its chorus. As ever, Evelyn’s vocal shines, and are given plenty of space in this acoustic take.

All of Pet Snake’s recent singles will be collected onto a new EP, Hard (Easy Versions), set for release 30 January 2025.

Trust Issues (Easy Version) is out now and you can give it a listen below.
