York Calling favourites 9 o’clock Nasty unveil latest single from their upcoming album, the swaggering rock Kid Blast.

9 o’clock Nasty have appeared on this blog so many times now, I’m thinking of putting up a blue plaque. They’ve been lighting up our pages with their irreverent music for years, and are showing no signs of slowing down.

Their latest single Kid Blast is about the mark we leave on the world during our short time here focussing on the “real human,” Kid Blast. 9 o’clock Nasty love to experiment with styles in their music but with Kid Blast they go for some straight, swaggering rock and roll. It suits the track’s message, especially during a defiant, chanting chorus.

Kid Blast the ninth release from the band’s upcoming, provisionally-titled album, THIS IS CROWLAND, set for release early in 2025. The single is out now and you can check out its lyric video below.
